U14G Nike Blue Qualifies for Region III Premier League

The Woodlands, Texas, January 16, 2012--The Texas Rush U14 Girls Nike Blue team traveled to Oklahoma to compete against FC Oklahoma to determine who would advance next fall to the Region III Premier League. The teams fought to a 1 – 1 tie, which earned the Texas Rush U14 girl’s team a spot at the top in the Region III league. “We played with passion and attempted to play possession soccer, but had a lot of trouble with the gusting winds. We went down a goal early in the second half but fought our way back into the game and scored, which tied the game and earned the team a spot in this prestigious league, ” commented Coach Milton Arraez. “This group of girls is very special. They maintain a positive attitude even when things aren’t going their way. We, as a team, have learned that in this sport there are good times and bad times, but with effort, dedication and passion any situation can become a positive one.” The Texas Rush U14 Girls Nike Blue is the only team representing South Texas in the league; the other three regional league teams are from North Texas and Oklahoma.
